Visualizing Your Interior Design Ideas with ARCHLine.XP Interior
1. Phase: Surveying and Creating Scaled Floor Plans
Measure a room/apartment, record relevant details and create the floor plan with ARCHLine.XP Interior's design tools (wall, slab, door/window, probably stair or roof ) to develop the 3D model of your design later on the process.
ARCHLine.XP Interior supports three ways to create your scaled floor-plan:
- Floor-plan on paper
- Starting from scratch. It requires the self-made surveying of the rooms.
- Floor-plan in DWG/DXF file
Just use the scanned image of an existing floor plan, ARCHLine.XP Interior can create scaled drawings based on it. You can import scanned raster image files like JPG, TIFF or BMP. As you are working in CAD environment everything you import has to have a precise dimension, but the image files are in pixels and not in mm or inch. You can calibrate the image and convert it to a scaled drawing.
Survey rooms and the software's drawing tools allow you to create rooms based on the measured dimensions.
Already have a CAD drawing of the space you start working on? You can import DXF, DWG files directly into ARCHLine.XP Interior, which makes it easy to start with drawings and even 3D model. If you have the floor plan of the space in DWG file that you need to model, import it, and start to build walls right on top of it.
2. Phase: Designing the Room(s)
The layout of the room is not limited to rectangles. The program allows you to design arched or sloped walls, you can place niches, doors, windows or openings on them. Unique staircase design is also supported.
Change walls, openings as your client wishes. Use the architectural editing tools to realize your client's vision. Move or delete walls, change the doors, windows with flexible ARCHLine.XP Interior commands. Use curtain walls to impress your client.
3. Phase: Designing Surface Finishes
Walls, floors and ceilings are the largest surface areas in any room, so the finishes are very important reagrding the overall design.
There are more choices than ever before and ARCHLine.XP Interior can visualize ALL of them: you can apply materials, colors to walls or any surfaces, also create unique materials with textures, and define colors from the main color scales: RAL, PANTONE and SIKKENS. So it does not matter, whether you want to cover surfaces with textured paint, Italian marble or wallpaper, you can visualise all of them.
With the tiling function you can create reticulated, diagonal or special patterns, and you can leave grout space between the tiles. The program calculates and lists the necessary amount of tiles and optionally the price. It also calculates the number of tiles needed (even if it is an ). It is also possible to define custom shaped tiles.
4. Phase: Wall Decoration with Pictures
If you want to show your client what a painting look like in an interior, you can visualise it in your 3D model by importing image files ( JPG, TIFF, and BMP) directly to ARCHLine.XP Interior and convert them to picture and stick them to walls to create your own unique space.
5. Phase: Insert furniture, Curtains and Soft Furnishings
For furnishing you can select from the world's biggest online 3D object library: ARCHLine.XP Interior provides direct access to Google 3D Warehouse. It contains every type of furniture that is necessary for an interior (e.g.: chairs, tables, kitchen-, living room-, bed room set-ups, accessories, bathroom items, etc.). If the library doesn’t contain the suitable object, you can create it with the 3D solid modeler of the ARCHLine.XP Interior.
You are also free to choose the desired fabric for curtains or upholstery, just by providing a sample pattern image for the program. You can also decide on the way a curtain is hung.
6. Phase: Lighting
You can place lamps in the model and also assign the quality and the strength to them. Lighting is a fine tool for drawing attention to decorative details, creating mood and atmosphere in your 3D interior model.
7. Phase: Rendering and Animation
The Interior Pro version is the best choice for the interior designer to publish the project with high-performance rendering and animation.
You can make a 3D walk-through of the interior you designed using the Walk tool and make changes on the fly. When all of these steps are finished, the optional renderer creates a spectacular rendered image with ray-tracing. With this feature the reflection and glistening are also visible on the photorealistic image.
ARCHLine.XP Interior Pro comes with LightWork rendering engine. LightWork Design is the world's leading supplier of rendering solutions of advanced 3D computer graphics software. Hybrid use of scan-line and ray-trace algorithms and techniques such as analytical anti-aliasing and Interactive Image Regeneration (IIR) make LightWorks the fastest photorealistic-rendering engine available.
